mistresselaura@care2.com Bio'ello! i'm sarah. i'm pretty laid back and open minded. i enjoy good conversation, especially if it's of the (a)political variety. i'm happiest with a cup of coffee and someone to converse with.
i'm often found tooling about the local used book shoppe or taking in a movie. i love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, canoeing, and star gazing. i have a passionate romance with my container garden. i like to share my tomatoes with others - we have an open relationship, they and i. i walk everywhere (i don't own a vehicle) and find myself on a bicycle from time to time. i have a penchant for the absurd and the macabre. my sense of humor tends to be toward the dark and dry side. i'm not terribly ambitious. i'd be content with a small treehouse, a plot of land for my organic garden (rootabaga patch) and a goat (to keep me company).
i'm an innkeeper at an inn on the harbor. i also teach middle eastern dance (belly dance) at the local art center. i'm reiki II certified and would like to attain my master certification. i'm teaching myself book binding and paper making. i'd like to learn screen printing as well. i'm working on a zine called "incorrigible"... it focuses on the darker side of victoriana. i've been working on the concept for a while. we'll see if this project ever comes to fruition.
i'm really good at listening, cooking, scrabble, and kissing.
i'm vegetarian. i looove indian food. also: sushi, sammiches, mexican food, gourmet cheese. i really enjoy cooking and i work in a gourmet food shoppe from time to time.
the six things I could never do without:
- my voice
- my mom
- my sense of humor
- books
- my imagination
- vegetables
i spend alot of time thinking about the state of the world and how i can make it a better place... lately i've been making efforts to move beyond just talking and actually DOING something about it all. self governance, activism, and self sustainability occupy a large percentage of my thoughts.
